Great video! This is much better than some of the other ones...I just saw a gift pack of a bottle of Bacardi with a bottle of Purista mojito mix....Patrick what do you think about this? Have you tried it? Thinking about it eventhough I'm something of a cocktail snob.

dont' ever buy mojito mix, this drink is only done justice if made fresh, ive tried several mojito mixes, all will just leave you let down.

I agree, i think this is a brilliant drink when i order it from my favorite bar, but i hate the ready- made mixes. Just like he said, needs to be fresh!=)

That damn Bacardi rum is a BIG mistake in this recipe. Nr 1 rum in the world?!, my ass!!! Bacardi superior is for people who don't know what good rum is. Havana Club would make a far better alternative to that Bacardi thing, just try to compare these two on their own, and you would possible agree ;)

I seem to have touched a soft spot, haha.
And yes, the recipe isn't that bad, it's just the Bacardi that I find annoying.
And I totally agree that that the fabricated is a very bad thing, making a "mojito" with this thing, is a far worse sin than just using Bacardi rum. Too bad that people nowadays don't want to spend the time necessary for preparing cocktails the way it's supposed to be

Not a bad recipe... I wouldn't muddle the mint with the lime though (I slap the mint and add after muddling lime and sugar) and I prefer to shake not stir... but otherwise not bad

@moritynz you couln'd be more right. if you muddle the mint it doesn't taste good. in my opinion you shouldn't muddle the lime eather. just press fresh lime juice in the glass. and of course: crushed ice is not very good eather. it waters the drink..
